i7 Upgrade
I just did a completely spur of the moment thing, which i might regret. I just ordered a new CPU 7 stuff. None of which i really need, my computer is fast, just not SUPER SUPER fast and running BC2 at full settings flawless.
Intel Core i7 920 D0 = (better overclockable)
ASUS P6T SE X58
Corsair XMS3 Dominator 6GB DDR3-1600 CL8-8-8-24

Windows 7 is nice, XP seems so old can crap to me now.
I wasn't sure if I should get the 920 or the "Intel Core i7 860 Quad Core Processor Lynnfield LGA1156 2.8GHZ".
The 860 is about the same price and faster stock. But the i7 920 I got can overclock well, lots of people have it running at 4Ghz. So I think its a better choice for longer term.

i have my current Q6600 overclocked 600Mhz, was easy as pie. But I did have to buy a better heatsink in order to do that.
FUck i hope i don't have to re-install Windows 7, dont really want that hassle atm. Everything is running so nice. I think the modern windows take a cpu+mb change ok. The older windows would crap out.

I Upgraded MB, CPU and RAM with XP with no troubles, bit of time cleaning up no longer needed drivers from old MB/Video card was about the limit of the hassles.

I have 4870. I kinda wish i held off a bit on buying that when I did and spent a bit more in a better card.

Bad Company 2 runs so nice now and load maps in under 5 seconds, its awesome!
I'm a bit worried im running a bit hot with the i7 920 overclocked to 4Ghz. CPU cores are almost 70c while in-game.
