TEAMSPEAK RULES

Post by Canadaka » Mon Nov 07, 2011 3:48 pm

1.[/B] If you are going to be away from your computer for more than 5-10 minutes please move yourself to the "AFK" channel or toggle your status to "away".

2.[/B] Please play in the teamspeak channel appropriate for the game you are playing. Don't sit in the lobby.

3.[/B] If more than 5 players are in the channel all playing on our server please consider moving to a "Team #" subchannel. If there are 10+ players in the channel then its pretty much a requirement to separate into subchannels.

It takes 5 seconds to alt-tab and move yourself, or you can setup teamspeak hotkeys to either move directly to a channel or a hotkey to move up and down channels (works well if you have 2 monitors). HOW TO VIDEO: http://www.screenr.com/wd4s

4.[/B] ALL RECRUITS must add |R| to the START of their teamspeak username until they are told otherwise.

5.[/B] ALL CKA MEMBERS should also setup "Whisper list" hotkeys for the match channels and you can also include the BF3, Team 1 and Team 2 channels. http://clan.canadaka.ca/modules.php?nam ... pic&t=7771

This way you can still communicate with CKA members on the other team at the end of round or whenever if you need to.

For TS re-installs ever community member should do the following now or when they recieve new permissions.

1. Under Settings -> Identities
2. Select Export, then Yes
3. Name the file something easy to remember, usernameTSprofile
4. Select a location that is safe to Save the file.
examples: MS Onedrive, GoogleDrive, another computer, or a USB stick.

This will allow you after a re-install of TS to import this profile, and you will have all of your TS permissions. Also what needs to happen is a full clean up of old users, since this not only causes demand on our TS server but opens us up to potential hackers on our TS server.

PS This also gives you the ability to use this profile to install TS on other computers and still have the same permissions upon import of the profile.
